About this data: monthly and weekly I-140 activity
This page tracks I-140 decisions over time — month by month and week by week — broken down into approvals, denials and RFEs issued. It highlights the busiest month, the share of recent decisions that came with an RFE, and the pace of approvals per business day over the last 30 business days (weekends and today's still-incomplete numbers are excluded so the average reflects a real working pace).
Switch between the monthly and weekly views to compare recent activity with previous periods, and use the charts to see whether approvals, denials or RFEs are trending up or down.
Frequently asked questions
- Does a busy month mean cases are being approved faster?
- Not necessarily — a busy month can include more denials or RFEs too. Look at the approval/denial/RFE split for that period, not just the total.
- How is the RFE rate calculated?
- It's RFEs issued as a share of decisions made in the same period — approvals plus denials plus RFEs. Cases still in progress aren't counted as decisions yet.
- Why 'per business day' instead of per calendar day?
- USCIS doesn't issue decisions on weekends, and today's count is still incomplete. Averaging over the last 30 business days up to yesterday gives a more honest read of the current pace.
- Where does the data come from?
- From the public USCIS Case Status tool, updated every day. TrackMyI140 is independent and not affiliated with USCIS.
