About this data: I-140 momentum

Momentum tracks cumulative I-140 approvals, denials and RFEs over time — this month compared with the previous one, or over a longer window (3 months up to all history) — either across the whole dataset or filtered to a single block. The lines show running totals, not single-day counts, so you can see whether the pace is picking up or slowing down.

Daily averages are measured in business days, excluding weekends and the still-incomplete current day, so comparisons between periods reflect a real working pace rather than a calendar artifact.

Frequently asked questions

Does a faster current month mean my case will move sooner?
Not necessarily. Momentum shows overall pace for a block or the whole dataset, not a forecast for a specific case. Every case is still decided individually.
Why compare business-day averages instead of totals?
Months have different numbers of working days, and today's count is always incomplete — business-day averages make the comparison fair.
Can I see momentum for just my block?
Yes — filter the chart to a single block prefix to compare its recent pace with the previous period.
Where does the data come from?
From the public USCIS Case Status tool, updated every day. TrackMyI140 is independent and not affiliated with USCIS.
